Hawaiian Supreme Pizza

The debate as to whether pineapple belongs on a pizza is never-ending. But for those who have strong opinions that it only makes a pizza pie that much better, or for those who want to try it for the first time, this one’s for you. Enter: the Hawaiian Supreme pizza.

This pizza takes a typical Hawaiian pizza with ham and pineapple to the next level. The combination of Canadian bacon, pineapple, pepperoni, green pepper, and red onion draws inspiration from this classic combo and balances out the sweetness from the fruit, making for the perfect balance of flavors.

Makes 1 pizza

Equipment

Pi Prime Pizza Oven, Pizza Docker, Pi Prep Board

Ingredients

1 dough ball

Red sauce

3 slices Canadian bacon, cut into triangles

10 slices pepperoni

1/2 cup pineapple, cut into small pieces

¼ red onion, thinly sliced

¼ green bell pepper, sliced

Shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

Step 1: Preheat Your Pi Prime Oven

Fire up your pizza oven. Allow it to preheat for at least 20 minutes.

Step 2: Stretch Your Dough

Use a Solo Stove dough ball or your favorite homemade pizza dough. Sprinkle flour on the prep board, stretch the dough, and use the docker tool to gently roll across the top of your dough. Transfer the dough to a floured pizza peel.

Step 3: Add Sauce

Spread your favorite red sauce on the stretched dough.

Step 4: Add Your Meat

Top the base with slices of Canadian bacon and pepperoni.

Step 5: Add Your Pineapple and Cheese

Sprinkle chunks of pineapple and shredded mozzarella on top of the meat.

Step 6: Add Your Veggies

Add red onion and green pepper on top of the cheese.

Step 7: Cook the Pizza

Time to fire! Launch the pizza into the Pi oven and allow it to set for 20 to 30 seconds to cook the base. Then, turn the pizza throughout cooking for even browning. Cook time should be about 90 seconds to two minutes.

Step 8: Slice and serve

Remove the pizza from the oven, slice with a pizza rocker, and dig in!
